Our school, Show Low Junior High, exists to help sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in preparation for high school, college, and life beyond.

We believe that:

Our curriculum adheres to state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. We also offer elective instruction in the arts, industry, technology, and physical education. 

Show Low Junior High School has a seven period day with each class running for 45 minutes. Passing periods are 4 minutes with a warning bell at 3 minutes. We expect students to be in class, ready, at the warning bell unless there has been prior teacher approval. Lunch will be a series of grade-level rotations, including a 29-minute lunch/recess, 30-minute What I Need (WIN) time, and 10 min Homeroom. The core subjects of English, math, science, and social studies meet daily all year. Elective/non-core classes meet daily each semester. PE is a required non-core class. The counseling office can provide assistance with scheduling or specific promotion requirements.
